How
Unified Sales, Marketing & Customer Success with HubSpot RevOps

Sofar Ocean operates the world's largest ocean sensor network, delivering real-time ocean intelligence to the maritime, research, and climate sectors. As the company continued to grow, it required a more connected CRM that could align Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success while improving data quality, automation, and reporting across the customer lifecycle.
What Drives Their Work
- Ocean Intelligence
- Data-Driven Insights
- Climate Awareness
- Connected Collaboration

Although HubSpot was already part of Sofar Ocean's technology stack, it lacked the structure needed to support collaboration between Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing. Critical customer information was scattered across records, making it difficult for teams to access a complete view of each account.
Contact records were inconsistent, with missing or unstructured data affecting segmentation and reporting. Revenue attribution was also incomplete, limiting visibility into which marketing channels generated qualified opportunities. In addition, the CRM lacked automated relationships between Contacts, Companies, and Deals, forcing teams to spend valuable time on manual data entry and record management.
To support its growing operations, Sofar Ocean needed a scalable RevOps framework that would improve data accuracy, automate CRM processes, and provide a unified view of every customer.

We focused on transforming HubSpot into a connected operational platform where customer data could flow automatically across departments.
The project began with a comprehensive review of the existing CRM structure, followed by improvements to data quality, record relationships, automation, and reporting. Every enhancement was designed to eliminate manual work while giving Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams access to consistent, reliable information.
The result was a cleaner, smarter CRM capable of supporting business growth without increasing operational complexity.

We implemented a series of RevOps improvements that strengthened data quality, automation, and reporting across HubSpot.
We automated the synchronization of key Contact and Company information, including domain, lifecycle stage, region, and product interest. This ensured every team worked with accurate and consistent customer data.
Country and region fields were standardized across the CRM, while Apollo-powered data enrichment completed incomplete contact records, creating a cleaner database for segmentation and outreach.
We refined traffic source attribution to accurately connect deals with events, webinars, content, and direct channels, giving the marketing team clearer insight into campaign performance and ROI.
By automating relationships between Contacts, Companies, Deals, and Shopify orders, we eliminated manual data entry and created a seamless flow of information throughout the CRM.
The new HubSpot environment gave Sofar Ocean a fully connected CRM that supports collaboration across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
Customer Success representatives can now access AI-generated account summaries before every conversation, reducing preparation time while improving customer interactions. Automated data synchronization has eliminated repetitive manual work, improved CRM accuracy, and strengthened reporting across the entire revenue pipeline.
With cleaner customer data and accurate attribution in place, the business now has greater confidence in its reporting, faster access to customer insights, and a scalable RevOps foundation that supports continued growth.
